i have been using a ssac gt28 manifold look alike and all it will do is blow out gaskets. what end's up happening is the studs work themselves loose, and seeing it no longer has a tight seal, it blows the gasket out. (i'm talking about the gasket in between the trubo and the mannifold) i've done everything to try to make it work. and i'm really sick of it. when i pull it off this time, it will be the 6th time since the beggining of december so any help would be great. i'm using a s15 gt28, sr down and dump at 7 psi

You're only other option is stock. Have you tried high temp locktight, or putting a nut on the back of the stud? I've never had an issue with mine....

The problem sounds like your hardware, not your mani.Try using some "Stover" style locking nuts. I've been using them for 5-6 years, and they have yet to back off.

i have tried putting the high temp lock tight in there. and there's not enough room on the back of the flange to put a nut. i've been using lock washers and i really dont know if i want to weld the studs on, mostly because if i breaka stud i'll be really screwed, and that will void any warrenty that i have.

but if you guys think it will work i'll do it. i just want this piece of crap to run again. what hardware did you guys end up using? the stuff that came with the manifold was junk lasted untill the second pull, then crap broke off inside it.

the last 2 times i've used the "help" stuff from advance. let me know people

High temp lock tite won't work.....it will just burn off. Here are the nuts that I use........... http://www.boltdepot.com/preva....aspxBest thing since sliced bread. I use to use regular nuts with lock washers, and they would always back off after a few hundred miles. I even spent $$ and let Nissan put all new hardware on, with those stupid lock plates, and the nuts still backed off. The cure for me was those prevailing torque lock nuts. The way their designed, they can't back off. Cheap too.....less than .50 cents a piece.Another thing to check is your exhaust.......if it's hung too rigid without a flex bellow, then stuff's gonna start working itself loose.

look in your local yellow pages under "nuts and bolts". I found mine locally at a nut and bolt dealer, when I lived in Tampa. If you can't find one locally, online.........just google "all metal prevailing torque lock nuts". That link I posted, try them and see if they have metric. The size should be 8x1.25mm
