I think it's important to remember that Ebay is not a product brand... it's a store.

You can get a multitude of high quality and low quality parts on there.

The 'REAL' issue here is what items can be skimped on and which require precision? Based on that which manufacturers can be trusted.

IE: Brian Crower has valvetrain components on Ebay and those are probably good buy. There is likely a cheaply made alternative that should not be used.

On the other hand when buying a CAI you really can't justify spending big bucks on an AEM tube when you can get em as good for cheap.

I used the front and rear strut tower bars, tunnel brace, floor bar and C-pillar bars that I got off ebay. No name brand merchandise that held up fine. I've since replaced some things with sturdier stuff but some I am still using to this day. They were a great bargain then and are now!

Just recently swapped from a KAE to a DE and bought one of the cheapest intake tubes I could find.It was pretty complete (for what it is) only issue I had was the vacuum nipples were not identicle in size to stock. No biggie.I also bought a $15 rear strut bar to complement the Tein Powerbar I have up front. Again, for what it is, it looks good and I am not going to pretend to know how well it functions. I did notice the car creaks and groans a lot less when jacking up.Also picked up a Vision fuel pressure regulator. Adjustable, came with a liquid filled gauge. Been on for 3 years, no leaks and had the gauge pressure tested at a local industrial hydraulic shop. The gauge measured just as accurate as a Sport Comp dry gauge. (for what that's worth)Also been usung Vision aluminum lug nuts. I have 2 different sets, always use hand tools and torque to 75 ft. lbs. I remove my wheels with some frequency, usually monthly, for a cleaning and inspection of suspension components. Never had one strip, crack or come loose. One piece clutch line, braided stainless steel. Bought from Askmeforparts. In fact I bought a lot of small odds and ends from this particular vendor. Very quick, reasonable shipping and overall a good seller.I also bought the cheap stainless header for my swap. Paid just over $100 shipped. I am not running any egr, so I can't comment on whether that stuff lines up or not, otherwise fitment, and finish are to my satisfaction.Kinda long post, but I have bought so much stuff for my cars both generic and name brand. I have found quite a few bargains and many values. As always do your own research and decide for yourself what to buy and from whom.

I bought an oil adapter sandwich plate from eBay.It came with bolts to block off any unused ports. It leaked at first, but I took it off and tightened it down tighter and now it does not leak at all.

Here I tested the fitment of my oil pressure sensor and oil feed line tee, all works well with no leaks, just remember to tighten them down well and use thread sealant on the ports.

I too have purchased many many parts from Askme4parts on ebay and they ROCK!!! The absolute best customer service out there! I also had one of those ebay intakes on my DE and it was fine and I had the same nipple problem as you but I made them fit.

from my experience with my wrx, CXRacing makes quality welded parts like intercoolers, radiators and manifolds

The only Issue I had with my CXRacing radiator on my wrx though is I had to get some silicone hoses because the stock ones would touch the serpentine belt and they got wore out pretty bad. Otherwise it cools great, looks great and fits perfect.

has any one had experience with the godspeed coilovers? i know its not really a part you want to skimp out on but for $500? my car has blown struts in the rear and bounces like a damn pogo stick on crack, found this out when i put some eibach prokits on (btw what a pain in the a** lol 20 years of seizing) its really just a dd right now with plans just to go to some local drift comps every couple of months.
