I am planning to buy this kit off EBAY for my s14 sr20det in my 95 240sx. Some friends told me it was a good kit and recommended it. Just wanted to know if any of you guys had any experience with it or had heard about it before i buy it. Thanks

yeah thats what i said. Ebay performance parts always seem sketchy to me, but my friend reassures me that its a good kit. Hes worked with it before and says it great. He says a core is a core and piping is piping, theres no difference. The price is good, so im probably gonna get it, ill let you guys know how it goes.

Everyone here is all about the "name brand" stuff... if you say anything about something from ebay then your almost shooting yourself in the foot... Im sure the intercooler kit isn't that much different than a "name brand" one. The only thing that could possibly cause a big difference is the piping, and that's not that big of a deal.

Its like this... remember back in school when you had a friend who couldn't afford "name brand" shoes, and he got picked on for it... c'mon... its just shoes

In conclusion... im sure the "name brand" parts are built with a little more confidence than the no name ones... but its probally not worth a $XXX dollar difference

my $.02

I just wanted to ask if you guys had experience with it. Before i wasted the money on a ****ty kit rather than putting it toward a blitz or hks kit. I was originally going to fab up a kit, but someone gave me the heads up on this kit, said its just as good as any kit and comes with everyting, but no name brand is all.

There are some ebay parts i would use with no worry like Short shifters, strut bars, mufflers,But a intercooler is something you dont want to go cheap with.Go with the greddy kit,Its not a whole lot more then the ebay kit.

here's my experiece with no name ebay kits... the intercooler works great but the metal dents really easy. starts to look like shiit after about 2000 miles. there are some actual good no name FMIC's though. message someone who has bought the exact kit before you and ask about the metal's durability. i have a no name kit that is really nice(not ebay though) but huge and almost impossible to install

I found out its not really an ebay kit, just one sold off ebay. It's actually being sold by a shop. I found 2 people who have had the kit and says its a good kit. Welds are good and metal is strong, just no name. Thanks for all the help guys

Good Luck with the Ebay Intercooler, I was planning on purchasing one myself... I went with a stock GTR FM core instead. I just made my appointment to get some piping fab and installed.

its seriously kinda hard to mess up some piping and fins.....

well reason i went with the stock R32/33 GTR FM core was because it is already black straight from the factory...

The only thing "wrong" with it is that its bar and plate...unless you're shooting for 500whp plus, you'll just be hurting yourself w/ a bar and plate. As for the quality, if half of the "pro tuners" on this board had any idea of how the aftermarket parts industry works, they'd be telling you to jump on the i/c. I KNOW where it comes from since I have good friend who works for one of these companies that deals in "knock off" parts and gets the exact same cores. Just think JDM and bar/plate...who makes one? It's the same as that manufacturers, I promise. Their wastegates are available across ebay too. Good stuff. Unless you're getting copy-cat parts like the Greddy knock offs, chances are you're getting the exact same part as the big guy sans the fancy logo. Any jive talk about metal bending easier is bs, my greddy RSPL looked like crap after one month of driving, same as my Blitz did on my WRX.

dude you could buy a greddy fmic for the price of fabing up aluminum piping for a front mount. Just get a name brand that you know will help you if you need it. Tech support is better than saving 50 or 100 bucks. I went with the blitz b/c its not tooooo pricey and bolted up perfect.
