I found this intake manifold on ebay and I was wondering any good. I know CPC makes one but its like 800 for the plenum and 1400 for the plenum, lower intake and fuel rail.

I don't know of anyone who has any experience with this setup. If it were me, I'd pay the extra $300 for a product that has been proven to perform over and over again.

You could also be the guinea pig and buy the eGhey one and see what happens. I'd get it flow tested before you install it though to ensure that you've got relatively even flow from runner to runner.

well im set on the CPC plenum till i found this one and I became curious about it. If there was any positive feedback about it I would have considered to give it a go but since I dont know and nobody else does then Imma stick with the CPC. sometimes ebay has a good thing or 2 but its not really worth the gamble all the time

I have this manifold, havent had it running but I have flow charts of my head with this manifold attached to it..

I can only comment on the quality of the product.. Welds are great, good penetration and the dude was more than willing to help, I had a diffrent flange requirement for the throttlebody so I sent a diagram with measurements of what was needed, he fabbed it up and added it at no extra charge.. Even my engineer was impressed with the quality..

The only downside on mine was the placement of the idle air control guff (shouldnt be a problem on standard rail), as I needed to weld injector bosses to the underside of the plenum, but I created my own solution for it..

Considering I am about to push 83 odd psia through this manifold, the weld penetration looks great, the velocity stacks are nice and neat, my only conern is that it pops but I really don't think it will..

Now I am not saying that it is superior to the CPC manifold as I have had no experience with them, my comments are only based on quality experience with the PNT manifold..

Do you have the numbers from the flow bench? What was the cylinder-to-cylinder flow variance like?

Sorry fellas I dont have a percentage loss analysis..

Only the head flow with the manifold attached.. Which gave me an overall view..

You'll soon find out Meminto is a cheapass and hates to spend money. If there is a shortcut, he'll take it. I've actually seen him squeeze the zinc out of a penny. It was amazing. [/sarcasam]

well im not trying to cheap on anything. ive already got enough in this project as is, i just didnt kno if they were any good. I just ordered rods and pistons so there goes another chunk of change. youd think that for 500 it'd be a decent plenum but im not gonna spend on it if i cant see any results.

Maybe you could email the seller and see if he's got any info on it. Perhaps tell him you're in the market for a manifold, but don't want to spend money on a product that has not information to support it's supposed gains? Honestly if he has some flow bench numbers, he could probably sell more of these.

No, I dont i'm sorry..

As I said in my original post, I can only really give you feedback on the build quality of the unit..

If you are that worried, buy the CPC one, I am sure Ariel has plenty of data now that you can look at that will enable you to make an informed decision..

When I bought the PNT manifold a couple of years ago (yes I have been working on the project for a while) I looked at CPC, but Ariel didn't have the information I was looking for, I opted for the PNT..

Yeah man I hate to spend money.. :rotflmao I am that tight that if I ate coal I would s*** diamonds..... :werd:

Can't be the case, if you're looking for stuff to "waste" money on
A good tune is what I'd consider mandatory.... even on an internally stock motor
Many street CA18s achieve excellent performance using stock intake manifold
Mobne was over 500hp on his stock 4 port intake
A few testimonials on sxoc were surprised how their motor responded to port-matching the intake to the head.

ooo-kay? i dont see how its wasting money to inquire a little insight on the quality and performance of a product. Im glad mobne made great power with his stock 4 port but guess what... it was a 4 port. I have an 8 port so therefore Ive been considering the purchase of a plenum and before I spent 800 on the CPC plenum I happened to see this one and wanted to ask. Thats all. As far as tuning goes Jim Wolf is gonna handle that for me. A friend of mine with a sick Z32 recommended them to me. They did his tune for his 272's, 750's, 2 2871's ect and its nasty, 700whp nasty. Ive also heard a lot of great things from other people too about JWT as well. And Im not going for mobne power, Im just going for 350ish whp play toy. I like the plenums for their appearance. They look really good but I want it to perform as well
