Has anyone used these injectors?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Fuel-Inject ... 92&vxp=mtr

While I have the plenum off to do other service I figured I might as well knock out the injectors if the price is right. This seems like a pretty fair deal for OE style injectors.

These are FACTORY REMANUFACTURED OEM FUEL INJECTORS ... They are NOT just simply cleaned-up "rebuilt" parts
^^They ARE just simply cleaned-up "rebuilt"
Injectors are a tough risk....
deatschwerks prices seem to be inflating @ the rate of gold. I checked a few months ago and they were in the 500's. now @ 689$ for 8.. I think I payed in the 400's for my 8 4 years ago...

Thanks for the input, I think I'm going to snag a set and throw them in while I have the plenum off.

Now here's one for you guys... As I'm waiting for my transmission solenoids, I'm taking the time to fix a couple issues. 1. A water leak on the back of my head that cools the turbo... done, what a pleasure that was... Image
2. I'm installing that Nismo adjustable FPR. Took out the damper, per the tuner, installed 180 psi fuel lines, put it all back together; no plenum on top yet and the vacuum line on the FPR is not connected. Turned the key on and my fuel pressure gauge says 0... :wtf2:
Image

I would have thought the rails would have pressurized without actually starting the car... What am I missing in this equation?

Maybe it's something simple... Any chance you pulled the fuel pump fuse to depressurize before pulling everything apart and forgot to put it back or put it in the wrong slot? Any chance the fuel supply and return lines are reversed?

The ECU may not energize the pump if it is not getting signal from some of the sensors you have unplugged. (TPS, IAS, and such) Just a guess though, you've got a bunch of stuff unplugged that the ECU is looking for.

I was wondering about that. I want to pressurize the fuel rails before I put it all back together. A fuel leak on that crap under the plenum would really suck after it's all together again.

You would think that you could pressurize the rails without everything being back in place. My pump @ 3ohms and my relay has continuity, so I think you may be right, the ECM is not liking everything else disconnected and won't fire up the pump...

That is correct; it does need to "see" the Camshaft Position, Mass Air, Eng. Coolant Temp. and Ignition Switch... FSM: EF&EC 25.
So now the pump is running but it still hasn't pressurized the rails... :werd: ANYONE?

BTW: Has anyone else noticed that the SEARCH on here isn't working? At least mine isn't...

Does the regulator need vacuum to open? The OEM one appears to be most open when it has no vacuum, but I don't know about the adjustable one.

The search feature problem has been noticed and it is being addressed.

Sounds reasonable. Guess I'll just put it all back together and adjust it then. It's going to be fun to get to. Thank god I'll only have to adjust it once... Hopefully.

Thanks

Doing my "I was right" dance currently.

Which sucks because I wanted to pressurize the rail before reassembling every thing too.

Well, I have read just about everything I could find. That's where I saw the deal in the FSM confirming your hunch, but I don't know how to get it to actually pressurize. The pump goes on for the 5 seconds when you turn the key on, but no pressurization.

Heath's idea seems reasonable, I guess the vacuum is maintained when it's not running? I noticed the system would pressurize with just turning the key on, but that's when everything was on the car per normal...

I thought someone on here would've had the answer to this one... Who wants to put everything on the motor, without testing rails before putting the plenum on? I can't believe this is an unknown...

Is it possible to put a vacuum gaege on one end of the Fuel rail to see if it would hold a vacuum. Not a perfect solution, but would give you an idea if there was an O-ring leaking. I don't know if the injectors would hold a vacuum though.

I'm embarrassed to have to admit that my problem is listed among the above SIMPLE probabilities... :facepalm2 Start a betting pool, then I'll give the answer.

There is a way to close off the input and return fuel lines (using some old hose to insulate over vice grips) to catch the fuel system at about 40 psi during the 5 second period when the lines are pressurized.

Image

I put some blue towels under the injectors and let it sit under pressure overnight to check for any seepage.
