Has anyone here wired the Ebay fogs?

They come with a little wire harness with grounds, fuse, relay, and switch.

Everything was pretty straight forward except for the fuse area. Here's a pic:

One wire would go to the battery, and I figured it was the fatter white wire coming directly from the fuse.

Where the hell does the red wire go though?

Both wires had that white plastic clip, and I already wired the ground for the relay and for both fog lights.

I'll make a diagram to make it clear, but has anyone wired these specific fogs?

there should be 2 red wires from the relay one to the battery and one to the switch. The only wire that should have a fuse is the one that goes between the battery and realy. Aslo are you useing a factory switch on your dash or one that came with the kit? If you post a pic of the diagram i would be able to help you more. I dont have a degree or anything but im an electronics tech in the navy and have been doing stuff like this for 6+ years.

Thanks man but I just figured it out yesterday.

I connected the wire to the day time running lights fuse in the engine bay fuse box. I bought a fuse tapping wire thing, which still provides a fuse for the DTRL as well as one for the switch.

It's an aftermarket switch, I'll post pics of the set up tomorrow.

I don't know what you were going for but I wanted power to be cut off to the lights when I turn my DRLs/Headlights off on the OEM stick so I dont have to worry about forgetting to shut the fogs off and drain my battery. (I have a aftermarket fog kit like you.) I hooked the red wire up to Parking Lights or Tail Lights fuse(I don't remember the exact name) and that only has power when the tail lights light up as opposed to the DTRL fuse that has constant power.

Just throwing that out there in case you didnt know, but you probably did.

I was actually looking for a constant power source... I like having the ability to turn on the fogs without headlights.

Here's how I wired the switch source wire to the DTRL fuse, using a splitter thing:

I bought a different switch than what came with the Ebay kit. This one has an amber LED, and can be installed into the dash via a 1/2in hole:

Here's how the Ebay fogs look. I just ordered some white color fog bulbs to replace the yellow ones.

Sorry for diggin this one up from the grave but I've searched and searched...

Sadly, the pics and diagrams I need to see are all outdated and not viewable. I have a kit similar to this for my 2010 Altima Base. It has the rocker switch for the panel by the trunk. I'm trying to figure out how to hook this up. Since the car is prewired for fogs, it seems like I should be able to tap into that. Any ideas or am I SOL? I'm thinking I'm just going to have to run the whole new harness, which sucks. I swear I should be a false advertising attorney, with all the "Factory Plug and Play" B.S. that floats around the interent, I'd be reeaacchh.

***edit***
I ended up just using the aftermarket wire harness, which was pretty decent. The switch was close to the right size for the rocker blank by the trunk release, but not quite big enough, so I had to wrap it in electrical tape and double sided tape. I poked the wires through the rubber grommet in the fire wall above the brake pedal.

For future reference, being prewired for the fogs is only helpful if you also plan to purchase the combination stalk with the fog light controls. Otherwise, those pre-installed wires are not energized.

Wouldn't it be possible to find from the combination switch which are the fog light cables and connect them to a separate switch?

So i'm having a tough time wiring my fog lights that I recently bought on ebay. They fit into the space just fine and connect into the wire that was already behind the bezel.

I removed this plastic panel to replace the empty slot with the switch that came with the kit.

My thought process is if the car is prewired at the front bumper then shouldn't there be something that would connect into the switch? However, I don't see anything except this white connector that i circled in orange, but it doesn''t fit with any of the wiring that came in the kit so i don't think it's involved in this.

I'm really hoping that I dont have to run the wires that came with the kit from the fog lights, through the engine compartment, and into the driver side switch because that creates even more of a problem that i'm not sure on how to accomplish
