Yea, but with intakes you pay for the name.. There isnt rly any difference, i guess it matters what filter you have, but i would not spend over 200.00 for piping that i can get for 50.00.... Thats just me though. I do understand what you mean though, but sometimes you got to get what you can afford.rmezz13 wrote:Take this into consideration, what does your Z mean to you. If it means a lot, then don't you want the best for it? I do for mine, thats why i try to find the best, or what i feel is the best, or comparable to the best, and save up for it.
check out gruppe m intakes... they're close to 3k with tax & shipping!rmezz13 wrote:Show me one for $3000...... I gotta see this thing!
there's a lot of r&d involved in making intake pipes...e.g. pipe lengths, angle of bends, pipe width, volume, type of material, etc. that's why ARC sells their pipes alone for $300 and that's why K&N and other big companies have to patent their designs. This is like deja vu... I've said this a couple of months ago in a different thread...hmmm? anyway, don't go cheap on your z. go save your self a couple of extra bills and get a used, but reputable brand pipe in the my350z classifieds.z33nismo12 wrote:

With that in mind I would only want quality parts on my quality car. There are plenty of good deals on intakes out there from reputable companies. Save your money throughout the course of the month and buy quality you will be happier in the long run.
