well the much rwhp with stock rods is kinda *skeetchy* to say the least at 25+ psi, i would keep the boost down to 12-18psi (just barely in that turbos efficiency map though :().

very interesting though, thats the same turbo i am using, interesting to see what sort of power i should be making.

great deal and great buy, remmerb that OS Giken clutch kit cost 1800 alone... but thats one sweet kit :)

i can't believe all the stuff that is invested into the engine and it only pushes about 450hp... i wonder what garage paddy has done to theirs to make it go 600hp plus? i hope not nitrous... but i really don't know much about the ca18det... yet, its an ongoing learning experience with me. i'd like to know if it really is safe pushing 450+ hp with stock rods though? if its not then why weren't they replaced? anyone?

i also notice that on the engine on ebay it has normal plug type spark plug wires... mine has the coil pack things on the plug... do different years switch between the two or is there an advantage to the plug type over the coil on plug type?

only 450 hp....thats driven daily! Ray lives right down the street from me...and I can vouch for his car's bada$$ness...he's got over $8k just in parts! Its easily one of the highest CA's in North America you're lookin at there:D If i had $5500 to blow I'd be all about gettin that motor there!

Stock CA rods are pretty strong arent they? I dont seem to remember Garage Pady's CA using any upgraded rods and his CA is sick.

Stock rods are super strong, I too heard Garage Paddy using only pistons on stock rods.

The spark plug wires are there because of the SDS. The coils are mounted on the firewall or where ever Dee put them.

paddy garage doesnt mention rods, but i am sure they are using Tomei rods, 630+whp on stock rods seems kinda far fetched... anyone speak japanese and can send them an email???

YES that is ME... YES it is a hardcore setup... YES the rods will hold that power... but it is limited by FUEL and TURBO and possibly SPARK. I am actually taking the liberty to dyno tune the car soon!! :) I cant wait to see!!! Anything 500+ will need an uprated fuel system.

A/F will def be on the conservative side as always. I will let Scott work his wonders over there and see what the outcome is. How many think i should drive all night tonight and use up the 93 in the tank and mix w/ a lil c16??? Just wondering.
