some advice to anyone thinking of buying cheap performance parts, don't. i bought a 15 dollar cold air intake (35 including shipping) from ebay and i tried installing it on my car and the section of pipe that makes it a cold air doesn't fit with the mass air flow sensor. i saw someone with the same type of ebay intake i have on car domain and i can't see his mass air flow sensor anywhere. right now it is a short ram and it works pretty good, the sound it makes is amazing, my buddy's said it sounded like a muscle car as i pulled away from them, very nice growl. if anyone has any ideas on how i can make it work as a cold air let me know.

Well, right now it's a "hot air intake"...

I'd say either buy a true CAI or go back to stock... You COULD try to find something to route the filter down to an area of cold air, but it won't be any better than the factory setup.

A lot of people run the short ram intake. I ran it for about a year before I got my Injen intake. It does make a pissed off sound...GRRRRRRRR!One thing you can do to get some cooler air to the short ram is to leave the shorkle-looking duct that originates at the radiator suport and goes down to the resinator box in place. The outlet will end up fairly close to where your air filter now sits.
