Run a search. Were these S13 Hatch lights that were painted? I seem to recall this vaguely.

Belive me i ran a search, yea it was s13 altezza lights but that guy had painted the inside red. So it looked a lot like the red G35 OR Kouki s13 tails.

I remember that post, the lenses were painted red and it really made the tails look a lot better, definetely a way to go if in need of new taillights and a different look...and they are not so expensive like the koukis....

I believe they were just red tinted on the outside, no inside painting was done. Simple job, decent looking results.

Eww, that center panel looks nasty. I would just spray tint red across every panel. Due to the poor prudction quality of ebay altessas and thus and uneven surface I don't think you could get away with just painting the center panel like that.

Wouldnt it look better if you somehow opened up the taillight and painted the inside of the lens instead?

I think it would also look sweet if you could take the lense off and paint the housing black!

I like the look of those painted ebay lights. What paint did you use to get the translucent red finish?

I think it might look cool too if someone bought the black ones, and then tinted them red.

I was thinking the same thing (DrFtKiNg180sx). I have seen the black housing lights and I think if they were tinted they would look pretty damn good. I would also HEAVILY tint the stupid looking center piece. They also have the LED style ones on ebay and that might also look alright. Who would have ever thought we would justify putting altezza lights on our s13's?! My understanding is that these are popular in Japan too.

Bah, I don’t even know why I’m worrying about this, I have a stock S13 and any large amount of money is going into suspension and performance first.

I was reading 240sxforums.com, what I scoured NICO for a couple hours and was bored; anyway, apparently from them, the fitment is horrible on these things. I think there was a half inch gap or something, but they said they fit like crap. Somebody also mentioned they were made from the Kouki mold, so you might need the Kouki lower panel for better fitment. Can anybody shed some light on this that actually owns them?
