*Driving an automobile takes a certain responsibility and maturity that should respect the laws of the road*

That being said, I recieved some very valuable information from a friend of mine. If any of you have aftermarket rims and tires on your car, and you get pegged for speeding, take your car to a speedometer place to get your speedo checked. If your speedometer is off by + or - even 1 kilometer.mile an hour, take the print out to court with you. Instead of getting the demerits and paying the ticket, you will get a ticket for a faulty speedo. It should be around $100 Canadian. Of course, you still have to pay the $100, but at least there is no demerits.

Naturally, laws change wherever you go, so this may not work for everyone. But it's what me and my friends do, and it works everytime :) Apologies for neglecting to tell everyone sooner.

Drive safe!

I have a bit of advice. I got pulled over last June for speeding on a city road. When I saw the cop slow down to turn around, I pulled over to the side of the road and got everything ready for him to run my registration and license. I was doing 60+ in a 35 zone. By slowing down and pulling over (not making it a chase) the cop bumped my ticket down from 25 over to 15 over, saving me a whole lot of points on my license and money. It may not work every time, but I think it helped.

Cold Zero has a good point. The first step to successfully fighting a ticket is being polite.

I always pull over too. Once the cops comes out u turns etc If I know I'm the reason I pull over before the cherries come on. It always works for the best.:D
