I bought a cheap code reader dongle from ebay and downloaded the free NDSII lite from the google app store. (Nissan Data Scan 2). The company that sells the app and their other bigger software recommends a specific model of code reader in their webpage, and that is the one that I bought from ebay. Once you have your engine warmed up and ready after erasing any fault codes, you just hit a button in the maintenance section of the software and it does the idle valve relearn for you. My throttle valve was insanely dirty. Not even light was coming from the other side, so at first the relearn method was not working. After dissasembly and cleaning it throughly and carefully, the idle air relearn with the software took less than a minute. It is idling perfectly now at 750 rpm. If you are tired of trying to do it manually ,buy this dongle and download the free software and get it done properly and no sweat. Hope this helps anyone dealing with this now.

The dongle was only 13 dollars and the Nissan data scan 2 lite app is free from google apps store. It can be used also for Maximas and other Nissan vehicles. Make sure you buy the one they recommend on their webpage that have the proper chip , because I have another one of the dongles that was an even cheaper copy and does not work with their software.
