No need for dry ice/paint stripper, hours and hours of blood sweat and tears. I was looking for a better way to remove the sound deadening and I found it.

It's as simple as this:

Tools needed:
Safety glasses
Air Compressor
Pneumatic Needle Scaler (can be purchased at harbor freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/air-needle ... -1108.html) Totally worth it since you can also use it to remove rust

Here's a vid of how easy it is:

couple of things i've noticed, it works best when you go at the sound deadener at an angle, also seems to work best when hitting it from an edge as you can see in the video.

it does make a few scratches in the paint, but nothing major.
some of the sound deadener seems to be a bit more difficult to get through (the stuff on the trans tunnel seems to be stickier than the rest) but it still goes through it pretty quick.

Work on cars? Get a compressor. They is cheap enough! Good tool to use, thanks Garynator!
