Any good/well renowned shops on the east coast (Maryland preferred) that have good rates? Also what kind of tools would I need if I looked into doing the swap myself. I have another car to drive so I don't mind taking a couple days for the swap.

Heavythrottle is a very very good shop. I think they are in New Jersey or something. Just curious, what type of mechanical experience do you have??? This swap is realitively easy if you know what your doing. Basic tools: a good array of sockets, wrenches and extensions, engine hoist, torque wrench, wd-40, a 2 ton jack (help support and roll out the transmission), a camera (to remember what you did), a lot of buckets (for the all the fluids), needle nose pliers, and of course a bunch of screwdrivers. Don't expect to done with this swap in a couple days, as wiring is the a ****** to do yourself. I recommend sending it out to Daunt or Heavythrottle.

Believe me I would much rather do things myself, are there VFAQ's on it? So that I can know what the hell I'm doing it while im doing it, also what size sockets? If anyone knows right off the top of their head.

Modified Motorsports in Harrisburg. IM or Email me for information. Tho if you are mechanicaly inclined, the physical swap is easy. The wireing is the hard part. and Heavy Throttle will do that for a small chunk.

As stated before, mechanically the swap is easy as 1-2-3 (if your inclined). Now the wiring, that's a totally different story. Just send it off to somebody else who already has the schematics and so forth. Will be more expensive, but it'll be done a lot faster then if you were to try it. Then you can be out drifting in no time!!!!

Thanks for the input guys, now I just gotta find a 240, I was going to buy one (s13) for 700 bucks with a blown motor but it got sold last night. So the search continues, Cyber I noticed your from York thats pretty close to here, well a few hours I think (Ocean City, Maryland) any 240s for sale up in your area? I'm about ready to pull up to every 240 I see and ask the person driving if its for sale.

Not too many for sale around here.. one dealership nearby has them on and off, maybe one every other month. I will gladly keep an eye out for you. it looks like i am going with a few friends to senior week at OCMD this year (i missed mine =*( ) . If i bring the 240 down we can meet up.. but that is alot of IF

Do it thats what I started doing when I was looking for my 240. Make an offer it doesn't hurt, sometimes people need the money.;)
