I think my alternator is shot!

I'm going to remove it after dinner but I would like to know the easiest way to remove it.

Is it easier to remove it from under the car as there is all that crap in the way from the top or do I just have to bite the bullett and remove evrything that's in the way?

Any help would be great.

OK, I've removed the tension lock bolt and the long grade 8 swivel bolt but the alternator still won't come out, it just swivels back and forth like theres something still holding it at the pivot point.

What am I missing???

that should be the only two bolts that hold it on. Just swing the alternator out of the bracket its between.

Ive done this so many times, I should have it down by now, but its still a pain and I encounter a new problem every single time.
