Easiest way to get Oil Filter Out?

I'm having trouble accessing the Oil Filter on the VQ. Do I have to remove the Plastic Panel underneath?

I don't exactly have the smallest arms. Looking from the top, it looks pretty tight.

You can stick your hand behind the plastic panel, its a tight fit, but won't require removing the panel. Also, you're not gonna be able to remove the oil filter from the top (engine compartment).

Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right before you jack the car up. Makes getting to the filter and drain plug alot easier.
