Run some seafoam thru your brake booster. White smoke will pour out of any exhaust leak. It will also clean you head at the same time =)

Block the exit. If it stalls no leaks if it still runs u have a leak.

uh, I hope you were joking - first of all, this would only find HUGE leaks. If the leak is not big, it will just die. Secondly, Sudden massive amounts of backpressure is bad for your car.

With the seafoam, it only takes a minute and it makes even the smallest leaks very apparent.

I was gunna say put thar car in yer garage and close all them doors so none of that there fumes could get out. Then with your car running rev it to 4k for about 10 mins to get all them fumes moving nice and fast

Once you done waited 10 mins with the engine revvin i reckon you should crawl under the car and put yar face real near them pipes so you can smell for those leaks!

Uses what the aviation mechanics use: bottle of soap and water.

The bottle has a extendable straw-like tube. I use it every time on the dyno.

I usually rig up my air compressor to the muffler and check for leaks that way. Set it to 20 psi and the leaks are really easy to find with no worries about burning yourself. Also works good for checking I/C piping.

Uh, yeah, actually. He asked the easiest way to check for exhaust leaks...

The easiest way to know if you have one is you'll usually hear it. :D

I've got a nasty exhaust leak on the turbo housing of my RX-7....
