Early Spool / Excess Whine

I have a T3 super 60 with a .63 AR stage 1. I'm hearing a lot of what sounds like turbo whine even under very light load. Should the turbo be spinning and making this noise under light load? Could this sound be coming from my intake? It's just a short piece of pipe with a Z32 MAF and an Apexi air filter attached.

I am running an open DP untill I get to the exhaust guy, could this have something to do with it?

Turbo whine is cool under load but annoying at cruising speed.

Open Downpipe is the cause. I just hacked my exhaust off because it collapsed.... Cut at the test pipe....I hear spool at idle... Hear it a little bit while cruising but my car is do damn load between open dowpipe and open wastegate

I was driving through my neighborhood last night at 1AM coming back home Abotu a half mile drive with dips turns and hills Left the car in 3rd gear only going 30-40Sounded so sweet to hear it spool again

My super 60 is pretty damn loud as well. It wines while in boost and I get boost right around 3k rpm's. There's some vids in my sig link if you want to compare it to yours.

My Skyline had a small T3 on it, it would spool almost always...which was fun. I hacked my DP off as well...lol. Very loud at that point. I think you're ok brah.

my super 60 is loud as well.. all the time, it just spools so fast on this motor.

Yeah my super 60 spools up with the lightest toouch of the gas pedal. About 2500-3000

My car is very popular at the local meet now, they hear my turbo spooling as I pull up... Almost got in trouble tonight when I was giving a friend a ride. Was abotu to launch the car froma stop sign and get sidewayz when I saw something across the street at target...Christmas lights above the hedge line... I don't know why he didn't come after me, my exhaust is so loud....I guess he wanted a bigger ticket....
