Hello, Im trying to find out if I can use a 240z coilover kit on my early 260z? My 260z was made 9/73. They first started making the 260z in 8/73. I had my struts powder coated before i messured them, so im getting about 2.005in. Thats just a very little bit over 51mm, which the 240z has. Any info on this subject would be awsome!!!!!!!!!
Thanks alot for your time,
Nick

sounds liek you have the 240 size housings, if I were you I'd locate form 280 housings and get the 280 kitm the inside diameter si larger which makes fitting struts a lot easier, a lto of people find that these old housings are no longer complettely true and the factory coating on aftermarket struts make fitment tight or impossible, some have gone so far as to have their strut housings bored out, it's a lit simpler to just use the 280 housings, they are thicker and heavier butmake for less drama
