As the question says, an E6 ECU can only be used for a black top correct?

You can use it on a redtop, but it is meant for an automatic S13 blacktop.

Hmm, so the E6 came from auto black and I believe the E5 is the manual one. I'm using the stock red I think #62 right now. I was just gonna get the E6 as a back up.

My motor idles at 750 rpms. If it's high, adjust it down the usualy way. The adjuster screw on the intake mani.

E6 = Auto blacktop zenki S14E5 = Manual blacktop zenki s14

E6 will run on 5speed s14. only the idling issue!

Blast from the past - this info above is INCORRECT.

E5/E6 is for S13 SR20DET blacktop NOT S14 SR20DET Zenki.

Will work on redtop S13 SR but will NOT work on any S14 SR.

Just figured I would clear this post up.
