A while back I purchased pistons for a guy that told me they were for a ka24de. Upon looking at the job tag on the box a little closer, they are Ross pistons for a ka24e. Will I be able to use these on my de? Im thinking that the only diff could be the valve reliefs or even compression ratios but hopefully someone can clear it all up. thanks

if they are the ross stock replacement 8.6:1 you will be alright with 93 or higher octane, your comp will be roughly 11:1

so to answere with a yes no, YES you can use them, you could possibly use the higher comp ones and be ok but a tune would be required at that point as its on the verge of detonation even with 93.... do a few googles if your gonna go this route, even if they are the lower of the two I would tell you to get it tuned for the up in comp...

you may be lucky and they are the 8:1 pistons(IIRC they make those) and youd have like 10.5:1 ... please dont quote any of these numbers just very ROUGH estimates....

thank you for the info. I think im gonna just put them up for sale because I hate to have such high compression with a turbo setup.
