I recently boosted my 91 KA (with blow-through MAF) and its kinda idleing and running like crap (only with the MAF plugged in, when unplugged, idle jumps to about 1100 and is smooth). Im kinda sick of screwing around with the MAF, so I was wondering if anyone has used the pressure sensor and created a MAP using the Emanage. I thought structure did, but I can't find any info on how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if the Emanage uses an IAT sensor, but it would be required to run a speed density setup (MAP/IAT based tuning).

I noticed that your BOV is right at the MAF sensor. It might be that the BOV exit port is causing enough turbulence to mess with the MAF. There might even be a small leak at the BOV (if you haven't used the DIY tester, you might consider it before going any further...).

Just a suggestion.

yeah I thought about the whole turbulance thing, but its weird because it was running fine last night, and its not like this is only happening when the BOV hits, this is pretty immediate when the MAF is plugged in.

the emanage blue can not run off map alone, even with the pressure sensor. you will either need the ultimante emanage or a full stand alone to run off map

If I understand this right you'll need the ultimante emanage and a speed density (or full stand alone) to run off map and do what you want.

I use an emanage blue with a pressure sensor and tune with that. Basically your stock ecu and mafs controlls any off boost driving and as soon as the car sees boost you tune it with the emanage pressure sensor rather than mafs voltage. Its alot easier and much more linear. I dont have the files to share though since I tuned with the profec unit and not a laptop

did it run well for a while after going blow through, like is it new, or has this always been a problem. the reason i ask is i was running blow through on a sr20det and it worked great for a few weeks, then the maf died on me. same with maf number 2, so i went back to stock location and never had another problem.

its pretty much always been a problem, even when the car was NA, but its been off and on. tonight i took it out and it ran great, til i get into boost, then its a little shaky, but still works.Another thing, i know the stock MAF maxes out at 5 volts, which is about 260whp (so ive been told). Anyone knows with the E-01 you can log max values hit, and I hit 4.97V with the maf, and it was only like 5.5-6PSI, and definately didnt feel like 260 WHP, probably more like 180. sooo... maf FUBAR?
