Which do you guys think is the best choice? I've looked into getting the S-AFC, i personally think it's still the best deal out there. Any experiences with Greddy's e-Manage? I read that you can only adjust injector duty cycles +/- 20%, whereas with the S-AFC it's +/- 50%, if so why is it so darn expensive? Am I missing something? I know it's got great expandability, but I'm just looking for basic tuning for now, something to handle 440cc injectors. What about the HKS unit, I can't seem to be able to find a whole lot of info on it. Please shed some light on this, i know more people would like to find out which one is the better choice. Thanks

The HKS GCC and VPC is a proved system that elimintaes the MAF sensor and goes to a MAP sensor instead. But its expensive...Might as well buy a standalone for that price.

The SAFCII sounds pretty good to me...although I've never used any of the above. So I'm only basing my opinions on what I read. Don't think I'd buy the Emanage for the money. But I've never used one so...

SAFCII would be my choice, or the HKS SAFR.

The E-Manage is actually more versatile than a S-AFC. The +/- 20% is the adjustment you can make without the support tool. But with the support tool, you can get +/-50% and it has functions to automatically adjust for larger injectors and MAF. It has timing adjustments as well. The S-AFC only has a hi and low throttle resolution at various RPM increments. The E-Manage uses a 16x16 resultion map in which you can set each point manually instead of set increments.

I don't know much about the HKS GCC, but I do know the VPC is application specific and you have to order it with the injector size you are running as well. It doesn' allow you to tune these factors. I think the VPC may have been discontinued as well. It works well, but the tuning resolution is pretty much nil. It has some adjustments for gain and volume. I played with one a little on a Supra, but it wasn't very user friendly as far as tuning. But it is somewhat plug and play as far as the install goes. It worked particularly well for the Supra though since it elimintated the restrictive plunger type MAF. But a lot of Supra guys have been using the E-Manage now as well.

I've used them all and a lot more. For the price the e-manage can't be beat. Just make sure you buy all the options for it.

The e-manage will also run 2 sub injectors with a separate map controlling them (16x16)

Thanks a lot, you made everything a bit clearer. I guess the e-Manage does sound better, but using any of the support tools would require a laptop, is that right? From what i got so far, it's better to save up some more $$$ for the e-Manage, hell, if the Supra guys are using it it must be good :)

A cheap laptop is all you need to tune it. Or you can buy the E-01 or the Profec E-01(w/boost controller) to tune it. Here's a good info site and their prices are great. There is a link to a yahoogroups as well. There are a lot of people on it who know quite a bit about the E-Manage there.

I would recommend tuning with a laptop though. It's easier to navigate. But from what I hear the E-01 isn't too difficult.
