I had mine in a 98 240sx. I'd imagine its similar if not the same. Access to the wiring is fairly easy as it can all be done at the ECU. The only real difficulty was making sure I found the correct wire as a few of them were all the same color (white). It just requires that you pay attention and double check before you start cutting wires.

I was under the impression that since my car is OBD 1 that there was more to it than just the wiring. It says the kit is for a 96-98 model.

Not to many people used the Emanage...

I'd drop it and get a ROM tune.

The E-Manage wires into the "front" side. That is, it controls fuel delivery by altering the MAF signal. I can't imagine the MAF signal is any different. When I was looking into different systems, JWT said to use their program, I would have to drop a OBD1 ECU into mine and there were like one or two wires that had to be relocated to a different pin location. I wanna say one of them had to do with the A/C. Either way, it wouldn't affect the primary operation of the motor. That would imply that the sensors are the same and in the same wiring locations. Regardless, since it is ultimately intercepting a signal and substituting its own, it should work. People have run it on S13's just fine and Greddy hadn't put the S13 as a compatible application. Regardless it should work on the OBD1 S14 unless there is something huge I'm not understanding...

A rom tune is better but, there is no reason to make the switch unless your going for huge power if you already have the blue. I have mine hooked (S13) up but, have not started the car yet (need to finish other things). Its pretty much a glorified safc. With the addition of the timing harness, map sensor and communication cable it can hold its own and is a pretty good piggy back. There is no reason it wont work on your s14....you just need to make sure you wire it up correctly.

As others have stated, if you're just using it for fuel (alters MAFS signal) then it doesn't matter what gen OBD it is.

Rom tune or Nistune. Lying to the computer isnt* exactly ideal. Yes it works but Id sell the emanage and invest my money with either Jim Wolf or Nistune.
Typo fixed lol

Thanks for all the info gentlemen.I was kind of under the assumption that the E-Manage system was more or less plug and play.I think i will go ahead with a ROM tune rather than a piggy back system.

The rom tune is a much better route over any kind of piggy back, i.e. stock < piggyback < rom-tune < nistune < standalone. but thats my opinion
