E-manage Ignition timing adjustment?

I am using E-manage mainly to control the 370 injectors, I read thru the manual and found out there is a Ignition timing adjustment? is it something to do with advance and retard the ignition timing? I am thinking to get a MSD 6AL BTM , I'll be running 8 psi ? should I spend more on the ignition or E-manage would take care of it? mainly I don't want denation? would E-mange do that?

E-manage setting: Switch setting is 2 0 6 and sensor type NS_HW7 why is it show SR20DET? instead of KA?

it should be able to control timing, but it won't be able to increase the spark like the msd 6al unit can.however since you already have the e manage unit it seems to make sense to buy the ignition harness...

is it a big problem if I am running stock ignition system? I got some Irdium sprak plug? do I need any new spark plug wire( i didn't change it since 98) , should I get a MSD ignition system? somethign like 6AL ? coil ? or other stuff? for running 8 psi? If it works the same for the E-manage retard the timing at high psi, what other stuff I shoudl worry about?

For 8 psi, a stock ignition can keep up as long as you keep the gap around 0.030". An ignition might help on the top end where the spark needs to be strong and the coil's saturation time get's shortened. The E-Manage will only allow you to retard or advance the timing. And you don't need the timing harness. Just take a spare wires from the injector harness and plug it into the correct slot for the timing and hook it up to the ECU.

for those harness, I just went to Fry's and bought those wire clip? and put in to the wire harness that comes with unit. free for me LoL. woudl those MSD high vibration coil helps? they aren't expensive? what other ignition system I should ge?

so bascially if I get a MSD 6AL with E-mage retard timing? it would act the same as the MSD BTM ?
