Hey guys, I have my electric fan wired in with a switch right now, but I would like to switch it to a temp controlled setup. Will this work? Also where is the drain Plug on our radiators? Cause I think the sensor goes there. Any help anyone?

...But if you have a temp sensor that fits in the drain (called the "petcock"), it would be located on the bottom of the radiator to the driver's side.

Yes, this idea of yours would work-- there are kits available all over the net.

I did mine this way, I can walk you thru the wiring when you're ready. Get a relay and a thermostatically-controlled switch.

i wired up my electric fan with an external sensort that just mounts thru the radiator fins. I picked it up from advanced auto for like $30 for the kit, and it works awesome. It came with all the wireing i needed, and the relay too...
