I have a 95 200sx SE with ga motor and the cruise control stopped working almost overnight..

Now i noticed that the E-Brake light is ON at the dash which im assuming that is whats holding the cruise control from working. I pulled the panel off the ebrake and saw the wire and un-pluged it and the light is still on which means that wire has a ground on it somewhere.

Does anyone know where that wire runs to..??

There is a sensor on the brake pedal and clutch pedal if manual, the switch deactivates the cruise control when either pedal is depressed. I would start with checking the one on the brake pedal.

This is an automatic. Now that i think about it, my ebrake light has been on for a while now and the cruise control has always worked so i dont think its E-brake related. I think the main module in the engine bay just went bad... I dont know.
