e-brake snapped sr20 hard body

so i have a 93 hard body and i dropped a s13 redtop into it. the other day i pulled into my store and yanked e-brake and the cable snapped (front half) i knew right away but figured i would just loose the e-brake. then when moving i can here a very loud sound like grinding/ rubbing of metal from what sounds like them middle of the truck. i took both wheel's apart and replaced the drum's and shoes but too me it looks like the brake likes not having any slack are causing rubbing in my drum's? any help im getting the line replaced asap

I bet the line got stuck in the "on" position.
