Hey peeps wuz happenin; I tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. I've got a pig nose 240sx and it's my first rwd car so I'm a little confused. My e-brake seems to be weak, as if I have a leaking wheel cylinder (if there even is one ). I noticed it while attempting an e-brake slide and all I got was a progressive decrease in speed. I was going approximately 20mph so I should have been able to get some type of rotation out of the rear end right? Some other things that I've noticed is that unless the hand brake lever is fully up, the car acts as if it wants to roll(not just the normal settling of the car). Any ideas or suggestions would help greatly.

Basically, your e-brake sucks..If you want a supreme e-brake you can go the complicated route and use one from a 300zx.

The easy route would be to adjust the nut on your handle to try and get rid of any slack. FSM reccommends (sp?) 7-8 clicks to get to the "top".

Also, use quality pads. And since my friend put slotted rotors on his S14 (same e brake as yours) he is convinced that he doesn't need to bother with a R-32 or 300z e brake swap. So if you have a little extra money to spend, you can do that too.

Thanks folks, I'll be working on that this week. My rear pads look good and I'll be doing the z32 master cylinder later on down the road when I get my 5-lug swap.

The master cylinder is a good upgrade and all, but it will not improve your e-brake.
