E-Brake Problems

okay...

i drive a 1995 240 s14

i changed the brake pads for my rear wheels (their rotors by the way) and now when i want to go sideways i pull the e-brake as hard as i can and the wheels dont lock like they used to. so im like

what do i do?

can someone help me??

How long have you had the new pad for? There is usually a break-in period for the pads dude. I believe it is 500 miles or so. After that the pads should be stickier. If that still doesnt do it you might want to tighten the EB cable from the center console.

i just bearly put them on and it started happening but i tightened up the handle and it locks but not like it used to so yeah i wait the 500 miles and see whats up

Not bedding in your brake pads is NOT going to make a catastrophic diff like hes talking about...

Try adjusting the ebrake cable tension.
