E-Brake problem/question

Ok so I took my car to the bodyshop because someone hit me and the shop knew it was a drift car. The E-brake comes all the way up.. when it's all the way down it starts to act like it's working then mid way it just pulls like nothing is there.. it still works (had it in nuetral and just had the e-brake on in my driveway) This is my daily driver and I've never drifted it, I only use it for what it was made for, a parking brake. Just wondering if rippin the e-brake and trying to drift would cause this? Was never like this before the shop, maybe I need new brake pads?

K thanks I'll do some research on that. Anyone else have ideas? again it acts like it's working until midway then just nothing there then it starts to grab again all the way at the top.
