e brake light wont turn off

the e brake idiot light wont turn off. the e brake is not on however, it doesnt feel like it anyway. this happend yesterdayas well, but shut off 10 min after i started the car. Could my rear brakes be closed a little bit and telling my e brake light they are, or could it be a signal issue sort of thing where it is actually off, but the wiring going to the light just sux and is leaving it on all the time. hewp meee

If you add brake fluid, it'll be off. Just be careful when you get new pads. You will have to remove some fluid from the BMC.

oh, ha ha......ummmmmm. i didnt know that, thanx. wow i was expecting it to be some wiring problem i couldnt fix or something wikid weird. i feel awkward now, lol.

No prob. Make sure to get same type of brake fluid.

I had the same problem... Ironically it was my front pads. I changed them and poof, light gone.

I don't know if its that the s14 is different than the s13 but min was on and sometime would go off. It was a short on the button on the lever. so I removed the bulb, no ABS and the brakes are fine. sooo... are they different?
