E-brake light wont go off!

My E-brake light will not go off in my dashboard. It doesnt seem to effect anything as far as driving goes. Any advice on how to fix this?? thanks in advance!

Of course I'm assuming you have released your e brake! It is either the e brake switch at the pedal or low brake fluid in the master cylinder.

Or of course the alternator.

You will typically get the ABS light flickering along with the brake light when it's the alternator. I'd put my $$ on low brake fluid. Remember to look closely since it's possible to have low fluid in one chamber or the other while the other one still looks full.

Thank you all... Yes I definitely tried releasing the E-brake a million times lol... Its not the alternator because I had the alternator go bad on me last year and I replaced it so I would have recognized similar symptoms. I will try the brake fluid check today because I probably didnt check it as well as I could have.

yes its most likely your brake fluid... Either that or the switch, ive heard sometimes they get stuck.
