I am not sure...because I havent looked at mine yet..but check your fluid level in the master cyclinder. I know in my sentra the brake light would come on if the level was too low...dont know bout the 240...also you can take the time to pull apart the center console and they the cables and switch on the ebrake handle itself. but that takes time..lol..I hope this helps

Yeah, I hope it's not true for you, but I had the same problem. Brake master cylinder. Good times with that. If it's low, that could cause the light to go on. In my case, of course, I had to replace the whole damn thing. LOL.

Totally possible, Plus when you brake hard it stays on for a while.

1. this happened to me to couple times. I beileve when brake pads are low on thread, then e-brake light comes on during cornering or hard braking.Might be linked to possible low brake fluid levels due to thin brake pads. Just change them if you can.

2. simply take out the handrest plastic thing in the middle. its held together by a snap on platic border around the shifter and 6 screws. 2 in the front sides, 2 under that snap on plastic cover, 2 on the rear in the mid sides of the seats.

Undre there you will see that button pressed with the spring at the end of the e-brake. check it out, clean it.

-------

hope it works out

try putting brake fluid in the car. my car's brake light stays on too even if the ebrake is down, but when i put in brake fluid, its goes off, try that before you do anything extreme.

i think its the brake fluid cuz the little thing on the bottom of the ebrake is fine and the fluid is just about on the min line

dont delay anything, just do it, and do it now. unless you play high end games like MinisterOfDoom, and me, you got no excuse. just do it pal.

wow, that sounded like a loser.
