If its not engaging the ebrake (just the light thats on) then you have an electrical gremlin. Go fix it! Quick!

there is prolly a sensor of some sort near the e brake lever. if you take some time to search for it it should be fairly easy to fix.

I had a similar problem in my 240. And yes, when I turned or hit bumps hard enough, the light bliped on and off. It's probably a loose contact point, which is an easy enough fix. Pop off the center console and start there.

I had that problem right after a brake job on my s13, all the fluids were topped off, the e-brake was all the way down...still no go...try filling your fluid reservoir as high as god will permit and then closing it, it fixed the sensor throw for me, the requisite amount of brake fluid seems to be higher than the reservoir lines indicate.

check the float in the reservoir on the stick attached to the cap. if you pull it off and play with the float while the ign is on does the condition of the light change? If it does, put in some more fluid and call it a day. it is probably getting close to brake time for you.

If you need that much fluid to build pressure...are you sure you bled (all) the air out of that brake lines?

there is no pressure in the resovouar, the ammount of fluid has nothing to do with the calliper pressure, and his fluid is low, when you turn, it sloshes and turns the sensor on and off. check it for leaks
