It's been happening lately. First, my E-Brake Handle is loose that when I driving it goes off easily and sometimes it causes the VDC & SLIP warning lights to remain ON until I turn her off.

I will be dropping by the dealership tomorrow morning and just wondering if any NICO's experienced this or know if this IS caused by the loose E-Brake and is it COVERED under the warranty?

This has nothing to do with my car being dropped right? I don't want the dealer to turn this on me.

Thanks for your help.

Hey, I'm new posting here, but I'm having the same problem too. I park my car on a steep driveway and get the lights when I put the car into gear. I called the dealership and the service department said it's the VDC system trying to calibrate itself and the lights are just "the car doing what it's supposed to". Everything on my car is stock except for the exhaust. I've also been having issues with the e-brake light coming on at about 2.5-4k rpms at random after a cold start. Dealership said that sounds like a warranty issue and I have an appointment to drop it off on Monday. I'll keep you posted on what the problem is after they hopefully fix it.

Thanks Beer. Sure enough that's what it was. I only drive my car 3 days out of every 9 (gov. car ftw ), so it didn't even cross my mind that the brake fluid would be low . As far as the e-brake. I noticed my cable was sticking a little bit when I got under the car and checked it. Give that a shot and see if it works for you.

I did check the fluid, the level look fine and so did the service advisor at Nissan today, he also said it looks alright.

After an hour, it was confirmed that it was the Brake Fluid.

As for the E-Brake, I was told it's normal and that it just indicates that my Rear Brake Pads are wearing down?
