E BRAKE BUSTED?

hey guys i searched and could not find so here i am, the other day i went to LOWES and when i got to the parking lot i go ahead an pull on my E brake when i parked....but i guess i pulled it too hard and SNAP!...something snapped and the E Brake has no more tension...it just falls down. what happend?...the E brake line is still in tacked from what i can see...i only see one line though..is there suppose to be 2 lines?..i never really looked into the ebrake. please help me out. i live on a hilly neighborhood and i need this brake. i hate knowing that putting it in first grear is my only option.

There is one line connected to the actual e-brake handle that goes to a T-bracket where two separate e-brake lines lead off to the right and left brake calipers.. Your best bet is to jack the car up and see if one snapped or a bracket came loose under there and there's no tension or leverage.
