Has anyone actually taken their car to the dyno yet? Im sure most intakes will produce the same hp give or take 1-2 hp, but exhausts are different. As for now we are pretty much going off of the sound or appearance. Anyone HP proof?

or claims atleast?

a 1-2hp gain could be chalked up to the dyno... need more mods to see for sure...

didn't Injen claim like 12hp or something? I personally wouldn't waste $ on a dyno just to find that 1-2hp gain on an intake. Even exhaust you can feel a bit of a response but not that much

12 hp at the engine under a controlled enviornment. They most likely use an inaccurate dyno mixted with a below sea level atmosphere to get those numbers

For the record.. do not bother having your CVT's dyno'd.. you'll get a different number every single time.. we've tried.

Have you tried putting it in a certain gear in manual mode? It should keep a constant ratio, no?

We spent two days just dynoing our blue V6 CVT A/C and every single run was different. We tried manual mode and all the different possible options and nothing provided back to back results.

You can dyno a CVT but you will not get consistent, back to back results. Sometimes the reading will start at 3500 RPM with a nice smooth curve. Other times the graph will start at 4000 RPM and go straight up.

Like I said, after two days of dyno testing our blue A/C we found that every single dyno run was different. Not one of them could be fairly or accurately compared to the other.

I don't remember exactly what the numbers were to be honest...I'm pretty sure we will be dynoing again tomorrow. I will try to pull up some of the files.

We opted for the CVT because that is what Nissan gave us haha. Also, that is what the majority of the cars are. We wanted to make sure that our parts fit the majority of Altima's on the road.

I could see the graph(power band) being messed up with the CVT but I would think the Peak should still match between runs..Unless the CVT isn't 1 to 1 final ratio..Looking forward to more info, keep up the good work!

No the WAI's for the 4th gen's give at least 10-12whp. I can link you to another forum that has proven this with members posting up dyno's but than my post would be edited... get my drift?

But if you're going to say its only 5-7hp go ahead because I've seen dyno's (not sponsored dyno's mind you) that prove otherwise. I am also sure I would barely feel 5-7hp but the WAI will give you quite a noticeable difference, exhaust is another story.

This forum member in particular didn't provide any stock dyno's so yeah you can chew me out on that one but with just a fujita WAI he puts down 242whp of course every dyno is gonna put down different numbers but irrc the 4th gen's put down around 230whp stock.
