Dyno numbers seem REALLY low for my set up.

I have a JGS turbo kit and only made 195 hp and 214 ft/lb torque at 8 psi on a DynoJet.

Without the silencer in the exhaust the boost got up to about 10psi and made 210 hp and 225 ft/lb torque but it was running a little lean in some areas.

Not sure why my numbers are so low..I should be making about 250 hp on my set up.

Its a JGS kit.

JWT ECU for fuel and timingt3/to4e 50 trim, .63 a/rJGS Downpipe3" exhaust550cc injectors

Timng set to stock since the JWT ECU takes care of the timing.

No boost leaks. I have the low wastegate spring installed so if anything, its actually boosting higher than it should.

I just compression tested it about a few months ago and it was 165 across all cylinders (SOHC).

Any ideas?

Z32 Maf.

I'm running the low wastegate spring. My boost gauge reads about 7.5 psi.

At the dyno they hooked up some vacuum reading thing to get an exact number which was 8.37 psi.

If anything its reading higher than normal.

im going to suggest you have a bad knock sensor, and its detecting false knock and pulling tons of timing because of it. that would make your numbers way low

SOHC don't have a knock sensor

Log manifold and conservative JWT ECU tune could make up the difference.

I'd try bumping the timing up a tad and see if you pick any seat of the pants increase.

Would that work with a JWT ECU, since it totally controls the timing for you?

The ECU controls the timing, but it doesn't control where the base setting is. If you were to advance or retard the timing at the dizzy it will effect the entire curve the ecu uses.

I'd make a small mark on the dizzy then advance it like 2-3 degree's. The retard it back if no gains are felt. Listen for knock of course, but 2-3 degree's should be fine for testing purposes.

Dang, at 65 F also..

I am not all too familiar with SOHC KA's and the expected numbers the put down..

Check plug gaps, and base timing.

My friend on 14 psi made 288.3 whp and equal torque, using the JGS kit with a .63 a/r 50 trim t3/t4. He had a MSD 6AL, blaster SS coil, 3" exhaust, 740's and enthalpy.

Seems to me that on 8 psi, (6 less than my friend) 215WHP sounds about where you should be..

What other mods do you have done? Ignition? BKR-7E? Cams?

i reccomend the BKR-7E's, gap them to like 25 or so. my KA made 23hp more on that change alone. although i was running more like 10lbs of boost. point is spark makes a massive difference.

I have the BKR-7E's. I have them gapped down to .30 or .28..don't exactly remember.

Stock ignition, stock cams.
