OK, so I went to a friends shop to run my 03 M45 on the SuperFlow. They were training some employes on the dyno as I got a few free runs in.

1. The car will NOT dyno with the VDC on.

2. The car kicks down every time you try to get a good stedy run on it in 3rd gear. 4th gear is probably a bad gear to dyno in as the govenator kicks in and cuts fuel to the car.

3. I am in Colorado Springs, CO and our elevation is 6200-6400 ft and it was 90 degrees when I ran.

4. How do I post dynographs here? Can anyone help? It is hard to read, but looks alright.

5. The number I have for peak HP is 215 SAE and +2hp for adding a K&N Filter. I will post the graphs when I can figure that out. I think sea level numbers would be somewhere in the 272 whp area....trying to get more clarification from the shop.

Leaves me wondering what I am actually putting down here, and at sealevel?

Cheers! Kyle

Correction factors are 1% per 11F and 1% per 333 feet AMSL............18-20% reduction in 90F Denver assumming the gasoline meets BTU and octane standards as tested in Japanese Lab.*

US gasoline has been dilituted BTU wise since the first Gulf War and is nowhere near 125,000 BTU per gallon used in LAB tests to certify engine power.

This BTU dilition stretches supplies and reduces refinery costs, also improves emissions somewhat.

One of the reasons 2008 EPA MPG numbers were reduced.

So would I be correct in assuming that my above numers were at our altitude and my 272 whp est is a reasonable guess at sea level whp?

Thanks! Kyle

pull out both vdc fuses out of fuse box and do the 1/4 .see what you got. if you hit 100m.p.h.in 1/4 you'll be good.

Your right, but with how many different variables????? To determine whp you need to dyno, to determine 1/4 mile ets you need to go to the track, bottom line.Cheers
