yes very nice, gives me some hope for a jwt tune. did you advance timing at all? do you know what the jwt ecu is pulling at wot for timing?

I think that's the most I've seen for a KA-T running a JWT ecu. Hopefully my SOHC will do well to. I'm tempted to get it reprogrammed for 72lb instead of my 50lb injectors now. I might just install then pull it back out.

i assume the lower torque figure to b contributed to the jwt cams. amazing figures tho. u must b a happy camper.

Thats lean, at that power level I'd run low low 12's / high 11's to be safe.

it shouldnt be a problem at all with race gas and the conservative timing jwt runs. with race gas i keep mine in the low to mid 12's

Conservative timing is key to those lean AFR's. It's easier I find to lean out the mixture for more power then it is to add timing. Unless you can build an entire timing map.

Especially on race gas.

Congrats on the good numbers.

ive always made more power by turning up the boost. lol, just playing.

i know Brian's car might be too lean at the higher rpms. he has also pulled out alot of fuel with his SAFC. (-24% i believe). he has also advanced the base timing 3-4 degrees with race gas. the lean issue up top will be fixed with his SAFC adjustments as well as his wideband.

as far as the fuel vs. timing stuff goes, usually timing will net more power than leaning it out. it might be a 10 whp gain vs. a 20 whp gain at each boost level. this is assuming things are made optimal.

also, the reason why people make more on race gas is not because of the fact that its in there. they can run more timing which is needed anyways since higher octane is harder to burn and changes the detonation threshold.

im also not sure if Brian is running his Walbro with constant voltage going to the pump. this might give him a lil more potential if he'll ever want to make those 500 rwhp runs. (of course adding fuel with his SAFC will help as well lol)

congrats Brian. its always a good feeling for an accomplishment like that.
