Well ladies, the baby was taken to the Dyno. The car was at 20psi, got there strapped it to the dyno and let cool for about 20min. I was worried about the clutch because it's the factory one and I can feel it slip when the engines goes to full boost. First run without doing any tuning, just as we got there: 425HP. I could feel some clutch slip and the Air/fuel graph showed it was super rich on gas (too safe). We fixed the gas a little put the car on gear 3 and slam'd it ... when the revs got to 5,800rpm, the clutch just whent out ($hit) my fear was correct, the clutch did not hold. At least what we know it's that the air/fuel is now correct and probably whent over 500hp. This is only at 20 psi, the hold system was created to run at about 25-27psi. believe me I AM SCARED

400+ horsepower to the wheels of a 2900lb car is insane. Have fun, keep it off the curbs. :D

Um what are you dyno'ing?

EDIT: nevermind I saw your other post.

Good job, hopefully it goes over 500 with a better clutch..

lol; you're very humorous.

FITO: i'm very impressed with the setup. do you think the motor would hold up reliably for 600whp?

Looks as if you are using a 60-1 or a very large T3/T4. Your power doesn't come on till about 5,000 RPM's. How does it feel on the street? Can you keep the car in it's power band when you shift at redline? Also what are you using for feul managment? I see it really richens up when boost comes on and then slowly leans out. Did doing that make any more power? If I where tuning mine I would probaly keep the A/F's in the 11:1 range for saftey? If you had it that rich did you see any power loss?

NightXCZ77 wrote:SR's can run 25 psi daily...so what makes that so incredible on a stock block RB25 besides it having a 9.0 CR instead of a 8.5?

I don't see alot of people out there with 5-600 hp on stock RB25. Why shouldn't that be impressive? I'm sorry if you don't think it is..

The 9.0 vs 8.5 CR makes a ton of difference and that's why you see SR's making so much power. You can still make good power with a higher CR but your "tuning window" or margine of error is much smaller. I would like to see what the RB can do on race gas!

d00d, add race gas + alky injection + 15ish more pounds of boost, then dyno it :D

Well, -Turbo:"Presicion Turbo" T67 -Engine management: Microtech LTX12-Fuel: six 850cc injectors with a bosch fuel pump. Fuel canister"little thingi being used alot in Japan" to mantain fuel volume.

We were told that with this setup it should do and hold with no problem 600-700hp (C16 gas)(water injection). The car was very rich on the dyno, when we fixed the fuel the cluth gave in. when we finally tune the car rigth(as soon the clutch gets here) the turbo should kick a lot earlier.

On the street the car feel like a monster, First gear- goes like a birdsecond gear- if you throw second hard, you sideways with a beautiful line of smoke coming from the 18in. dunlops.Third gear- Hold on! your over a 100mphfourth gear- it's not fun anymore, it's scary!fith gear- haven't had the balls to floor it.

WOW! Thats is one serious setup! I was expecting to hear. "I am running a T3/T4 with a large FMIC, 550cc injectors, VAFC II for tuning...and on pump gas...Boy was I wrong! lolAre you using any headgasket to lower compression? I am thinking of running an SC61 from Presicion turbo. How would this turbo work?

That things sounds tuff. Was that after you replaced the clutch and tuned or what? Some smoke seems to come towards full boost at the end, did you tune it that way? Alot of high hp turbo engines I've seen have some smoke on full boost. Makes me curious if you need to run it real rich.

Me - who hasn't ever tuned an engine at all but wants to learn. :/
