sorry carl im calling bull****Carl H wrote:drop the stock restrictive exhaust for a i **** you not 40+hp gain.my stock rb20 (intake, 3" catback, gutted cat) pulled 230whp on a dynojet.
Carl, were the Weapon R stickers on? haha, and 230whp nice numbers i should be above that but doesnt feel like itKamin wrote:20-30 i can understand, espically over a stock exhaust. but not "40+"
shouldnt be hard, i race this yellow one all them time, weak *** stock but he is n/a and i have ****ty torque but he has no torque lol, he has N/a turbo lagblues14 wrote: my brother just bought a Honda S2000, so i gotta show him whats up:)
ah hah!Carl H wrote:we dyno'ed a buddies car on the same dyno and had identical setups cept for exhaust.my car dynoed at 180whp while his dynoed at 140, i can dig up dynosheets if you really dont believe me (both cars ran on the same mustang dyno).trust me on this stock exhaust with cat sucks, a full catback and test pipe will yeild said results.
oh comeon now! theres WAY too many variables to make that a reliable comparisonCarl H wrote:oh ye of little faith.ive got dyno runs done on both dynos of my car, so neayah :Pstill comparing a friends car to my car on the mustang i pulled 180 and he pulled 140, and simple math says thats a good 40hp increase.
i chipped the ECU, but it hasnt been tuned. it needs it tho. BTW anyone care to give some #'s of what a 3 inch downpipe would add on top of that 197whp? the open downpipe was a stock one. do you think 210 would be out of the question with a test pipe, 3+ inch exhaust and 3 inch DP, with tuning?blues14 wrote:I am no expert, but that looks pretty good for a stock run. what do you mean by 'chipped'? i should really get my car on a dyno this summer. I am basically stock but running intake, 3'' one peice downpipe, no cat with 3'' exhaust. also running an automatic ecu at about 18-20 degrees timing. I would hope to crack 200 hp atw. my brother just bought a Honda S2000, so i gotta show him whats up:)
