this is BONE STOCK. i cant say anytihng more. it has been chipped, but not tuned, yet. in fact i pulled 1 deg of timing out to try to make it run a little safer and attempted to add some fuel. also there is a cone filter, thats it for mods. still retains the stock sidemount, s13 exhaust, and everything else.

run 5=open downpiperun1=full exhaust.watching the boost gauge shows it tapering down to about 8 lbs at redline, and showing about 11 at 4500. im pretty happy, alot of room to grow with her. first mod looks to be a full exhaust and downpipe!

I am no expert, but that looks pretty good for a stock run. what do you mean by 'chipped'? i should really get my car on a dyno this summer. I am basically stock but running intake, 3'' one peice downpipe, no cat with 3'' exhaust. also running an automatic ecu at about 18-20 degrees timing. I would hope to crack 200 hp atw. my brother just bought a Honda S2000, so i gotta show him whats up:)

sorry carl im calling bull****

theres no way an exhaust gives you 40whp even with the boost surge you get.

Looks like it will give you 30 though...

Mine should be going on the dyno this week... as long as they have time/room.

we dyno'ed a buddies car on the same dyno and had identical setups cept for exhaust.my car dynoed at 180whp while his dynoed at 140, i can dig up dynosheets if you really dont believe me (both cars ran on the same mustang dyno).trust me on this stock exhaust with cat sucks, a full catback and test pipe will yeild said results.

ah hah!

you went from 180 on a mustang to 230 on a dynojet.

all test results are now void! please move along!

(but seriously, ill bet it was more in 25hp range, the difference in moving from mustang to DJ made up the rest)

oh comeon now! theres WAY too many variables to make that a reliable comparison

christ engines directly out of the factory can have 20hp differences! never use a comparison between engines to estimate horsepower gain.

and 140whp suggests something was wrong. thats stupid low.

i chipped the ECU, but it hasnt been tuned. it needs it tho. BTW anyone care to give some #'s of what a 3 inch downpipe would add on top of that 197whp? the open downpipe was a stock one. do you think 210 would be out of the question with a test pipe, 3+ inch exhaust and 3 inch DP, with tuning?

i found on my stock setup that open downpipe made the car feel slower, slap on an exhaust and it felt much better.very strange as one would expect it to pull harder with less restriction in the exhaust but nope, felt terrible.210hp is easily doable with those mods, but at that point start looking to upgrade injectors and perhaps a slightly larger turbo as the stock one runs out of puff quickly.
