hahahah... im such a ricer, so my bro's friends had a dyno day and had nothing else to do so i told him to take the car and dyno it. so here are the results for a 07 versa 6 spd with aem intake, 2.5" catback with yoshi muffler, and a mobile 1 oil change :p

some major renovations on the v will come in a month or two, or so is the plan, but with me... everything lags... so yeah,

without further a do....

That's a surprisingly flat torque curve. You know what that means...

Good for turboing.

So who wants to be the guinea pig to throw a T03 in their V?

You said catback, you didn't just do a axle back muffler add on? those are some good numbers by the way for a few mods wish you had the unmodded dyno numbers to compare them too...

Can someone explain this graph to me? I can see it's power vs engine speed, but why do there appear to be two very different curves from the same car?

There are two seperate pairs of lines. The top pair is hp and the lower pair is tq. Red signifies dyno pull 1 and green is dyno pull 2.

Numbers are uncorrected it seems.

Actually, the top pair is torque (the more horizontal of the two sets) and the bottom pair is HP (the greatly sloped pair). They then cross at 5200 RPM and the torque goes below the HP. The gentle HP slope above peak implies there's more to be had but it's going to take more fuel and a higher redline to see it. Anyone know of a ECU reprogram in the works?

By "uncorrected", audtatious means the numbers are not adjusted for a "standard" weather conditions (temperature and pressure).

Thanks for posting g00kb0i.

You are correct on the TQ/HP lines. I did not pay enough attention to detail this time

yes, cat-back... 2.5" from the cat all the way to the yoshi pipe... i didnt do any stock number pulls because i took nissan's word for it and believed their factory numbers...

it shows to prove that cars now a days, are really well designed from factory. i guess the car sounds "sportier" and all but for the money spent, i would use it else where unless u went fi or something...

Actually, using a "standard" loss of 15% within the drivetrain, your mods resulted in a 10 HP increase over stock, at the crank (132 vs 122). That's not bad. I believe the drop in torque after peak HP points to an increase in back-pressure. I think the engine's breathing is choking at 5000.

If you have the opportunity, try a smaller (2.25) diameter midpipe. It would keep up the velocity behind the cat (essentially sucking the air thru) and should yield a little better HP.

the reason why i didnt go 2" was due to me wanting to go FI... if i were to keep it NA then i would have kept the 2" to create the scavenging effect but from the place i come from, bigger is alwasy better on FI cars...

but hopefully after the turbo, the 5000 rpm choke will go away
