I have been driving my S13 for a little over a year and there has always been one thing that bugs me. The car is loud on the inside, has tons of slips and rattles, and vibrates more than any other car I've had. My friends even call it the "vibration station". No, I don't mean that I have engine, or drivetrain problems and I just don't know it. All of it functions fine, motor and transmission mounts are good, etc. So I want to turn the interior of my car into a veritable tomb of silence. After doing my research I came out with the following products which seem like they would do the job. Tell me if you have any experience with any of them and what they actually do!

1) Dynamat/Dynamat Extreme

2) Brown Bread, other B-Quiet Products

3) Generic E-Bay brand

Dynamat is speaker insulation right? If it is, i've heard good things about it. Haven't heard of the other 2 though.

I don't know about the generic brand. My brother has told me good things about Brown Bread, but I do not have direct experience with that. I DO have experience with the Dynamat product. It attaches directly to the metal parts of your car and does a very good job of deadening sound. For example, I put a couple of strips in the roof of my Turbo Buick and when you tapped on it before the Dynamat it sounded hollow and tinny. After the install, it sounded solid and not tinny at all.

It also improves the sound quality of your stereo system. It does add weight however, so I wouldn't go nuts with it. There are some people that add hundreds of pounds of it to their cars. I'm sure it makes it "tomb-like" but I wouldn't want that much extra weight.

One day you'll snap and start throwing duct tape everywhere.
