I ust reset the timing on my sr and it idles and starts up perfect. A new problem has begun. It dies at every stop light. Is this due to the blowoff valvae not recirculating properly?

1st - Check for leaks in the intake plumbing2nd - Tighten down intercooler piping (repeat every month or so)3rd - Set the BOV slightly harder, ie. make it open later 4th - Raise your idle about 250 rpm5th - Change your driving style*

* - Don't get on it and suddenly let off and brake, this applies a braking vacuum to the engine and will make it stall out on even recirculated motors with a somewhat low idle. SR IACV's aren't really that great to begin with, so I've set my idle slightly higher than OEM. Make sure you set your timing in the proper manner as well.

Make sure you don't over tighten the intercooler piping, use your judgement. The pipes like to migrate.

I retightened the piping to na avail. Before I reset the timing I didn't have this problem, but the idle was at 1500. I am unhappy with the greddy vspec piping as the hoses don't fit that well. I stil think I haven't tightened it that well because I had to remove th hot pipe when I reset the timing. I have the turboxs blowoff valve. ANy hints on tightening its response? Thanks.

My BRM dual comes tomorrow!!!
