I've read around and I'm not really getting anywhere so I figured I'd go ahead and ask. I've got a 2003 I35 and it tends to die after I start it. When the motor is warm(ran within 15 minutes) I'll go to start it and it'll jump to 1500rpm, then down to 1000, sit for a short while then fall below 500rpm and then die.

I'm not really sure what to think because I thought everything was working fine...

Any help appreciated. Thanks!!

First off, welcome aboard.

Secondly, has there been any service performed on the car lately? What is the history of the car? Are you getting a SES light on? I would start by cleaning the MAF sensor and go from there...--Mike

Get amultimeter and check the resistance on the MAFand see if you are getting voltage to it also
