Yesterday I got into my friends car and his screen says ejecting DVD and the DVD light in the center console was flashing but nothing came out.We tried pressing the eject button but nothing, tried starting the car over, still nothing. At first we thought maybe there was nothing in there, but we tried putting a CD and and then u would hear the DVD spinning.

Any ideas why this is happening, or maybe a easy fix without going to the dealer?

This happened to my wife's 06 G35. Turns out, the circuit board went bad.Disappointed since the car only had 7K miles. My buddy has an 02 Q45 and the entire audio went bad. I am beginning to wonder about the quality of Infiniti.

Since the electronics in cars are furnished from suppliers, I would not question Infiniti qualitity on those items. Maybe just their choice of suppliers.

I had the same problem with my "06" M35. I took it to the dealer he replaced the DVD no charge.
