DVD players operation issues for 06 M35?

Hello,I have a m35 with DVD package with rear LCD screen.Whenever I put in the DVDs to the center console's dvd player,only rear LCD screen plays the video while my main navigation screen just stays on map view. Do you guys know how to fix this? Also, whenever I play DVD on the player,it won't let me play or go to next chapter. It simply stays on the main menu screen. Do you guys know how to operate this? (Dealers are terrible. They would not tell me what to do)

I'm assuming you are not trying to do this without the parking brake enabled?? Without implementing the NAVhack (search on the forum), you cannot watch the front DVD without the parking brake enabled....

Actually, I am talking about when parking brake are in place. It wont let me display the videos on the main screen.It only displays on the rear screen and it won't let me play the video. it always stays on the main menu page.Help me!

Hmmm, sticking with the basic questions ... are you trying to activate the "play" function using the DVD player's remote?

I know this is probably a really dumb question...

But when you say the parking brake is on, do you mean the car is in park?

Or the parking brake, to the left of the brake pedal, is pushed all the way in until it clicks?
