DVD player won't stay on

Hi I'm having trouble with my DVD player, I own a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder ti, only purchased a couple of months ago. The DVD player will work when I start it but then when I go to drive it switches off after a few seconds. It's and over head player for the rear passengers. Is there maybe a fuse I can check or something?? I'm no expert and the kiddies are driving me nuts wanting it on when we are travelling and I can't work it out! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
